Preview Fixer Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 14, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Preview Fixer (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the Preview Fixer application for iPhone, iPad, or Mac (the “App”).

Preview Fixer is designed around on-device processing. Video processing is performed locally on your device. Unless expressly stated otherwise in this Policy, your original videos, processed videos, and processing settings are not transmitted to us.

1. Information processed locally on your device

Depending on the features you use, the App may process and store the following information locally:

  • original videos or screen recordings;
  • cropped, trimmed, and processed videos;
  • processing parameters, preferences, and settings;
  • subscription or feature-access status stored by the App.

This information is used to provide the App’s functionality and remains under your control on your device. We do not operate a cloud gallery or receive a server-side copy of this locally processed content.

Information stored by the App may be included in device backups managed by Apple, depending on your device and iCloud settings. Apple’s handling of backup data is governed by Apple’s privacy terms.

2. Local video processing

Your videos, screen recordings, and processing parameters are not sent to us or any third-party servers to process a video. All cropping, trimming, and formatting is performed using AVFoundation entirely on your local Apple device.

Processing speed, output quality, storage requirements, and energy use may depend on your device.

3. Photo Library and Files access

The App may request access to your Photo Library or file system when you choose to import a video, save a processed video, or use another feature that requires access to selected files.

The App accesses only the content permitted through the applicable iOS or macOS permission picker. Photo Library and file access is not used to upload your videos to us.

You may review or revoke these permissions at any time through system settings. Certain importing or saving features may not function without the necessary permission.

4. Sharing and exporting

When you choose to export or share a video, your operating system may make the selected content available to the application, person, or service you select.

Once content has been shared outside Preview Fixer, its handling is governed by the privacy practices and terms of the selected destination. We do not control how recipients or third-party applications use content that you voluntarily share with them.

5. Purchases and subscriptions

The App may offer paid features through auto-renewable subscriptions, non-consumable purchases, consumable purchases, free trials, promotional offers, or other purchase methods permitted by Apple.

Purchases made through the App are processed by Apple. We do not receive your complete payment-card or banking information.

Apple may provide the App or developer with information needed to validate and manage purchases, such as product identifier, transaction identifier, subscription status, purchase date, storefront, and limited information concerning refunds. We use this information to provide purchased functionality, restore purchases, prevent fraud, and maintain transaction records.

Apple handles payment and App Store account information under Apple’s own privacy policy and applicable App Store terms.

6. Advertising

The App may display contextual or personalized advertising in versions that include advertising functionality (such as Google AdMob).

Advertising providers may process information such as:

  • IP address and approximate location;
  • device and operating-system information;
  • App version and language;
  • advertising identifiers, where permitted;
  • ad impressions, interactions, conversions, and frequency;
  • diagnostic, fraud-prevention, and security information; and
  • information about consent and advertising preferences.

Where required by law or Apple policy, the App will request permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework before allowing tracking or access to the device’s advertising identifier. If permission is not granted, advertising may still be displayed using contextual or otherwise non-tracking methods.

We do not provide advertising networks with your videos or processed content for advertising purposes.

7. Analytics and diagnostics

Current or future versions of the App may use limited analytics, crash-reporting, performance-monitoring, or fraud-prevention services to understand whether the App works correctly and to improve reliability.

Depending on the implementation, these services may process:

  • App version and installation information;
  • device model and operating-system version;
  • general usage events and feature interactions;
  • performance information, crash logs, and error reports;
  • IP address and approximate location.

We do not intentionally include videos or processed content in analytics or crash reports. Where required, analytics or similar optional processing will be subject to applicable consent choices.

8. Information you provide to us

If you contact us by email or another support channel, we may receive information such as your email address, name, the contents of your message, attachments you choose to provide, and technical information relevant to your request.

We use this information to respond to you, provide support, investigate problems, protect the App, and maintain necessary records.

Please do not send private videos or other sensitive information unless it is necessary for your request and you are comfortable sharing it.

9. Legal bases for processing

Where the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or similar laws apply, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a contract: to provide requested App functionality, purchases, and support.
  • Consent: where consent is required for tracking, personalized advertising, or access to device resources.
  • Legitimate interests: to secure, maintain, diagnose, and improve the App.
  • Legal obligations: when processing is necessary to comply with applicable law.

You may withdraw consent through the applicable device, App, or provider controls.

10. Disclosure of information

We may disclose limited information:

  • to advertising, analytics, diagnostic, security, or support providers used in the applicable App version;
  • to Apple for purchases, distribution, device functionality, and App Store services;
  • when required by law, legal process, or a valid governmental request;
  • when reasonably necessary to protect users, the App, our rights, or public safety; or
  • in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or transfer of the App or related business, subject to applicable law.

We do not disclose your locally stored videos because we do not receive them through the App.

11. International processing

Apple, advertising providers, analytics providers, and other service providers may process technical information in countries other than your country of residence. Where required, appropriate safeguards will be used for international transfers.

12. Retention and deletion

Original videos, processed videos, locally stored settings, and App content generally remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the App. Removing the App generally deletes its locally stored data from the device.

Technical information processed by third-party advertising providers, analytics providers, Apple, or other providers is retained according to their respective policies and legal obligations. Support communications may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond and maintain records.

13. Your privacy rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights concerning personal information processed by us, including the right to request access, correction or deletion, object to certain processing, withdraw consent, or lodge a complaint.

Most videos and content cannot be accessed, corrected, or deleted by us because they remain only on your device. You can manage that content using the App, your operating system, or by uninstalling the App.

To submit a request concerning information we actually hold, contact us using the address below.

14. Children

Preview Fixer is a general-audience application and is not directed to children under 13 or the higher minimum age required in their jurisdiction for independent use of comparable services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us through a support channel, contact us so that we can review and delete it.

15. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes to the App, third-party services, legal requirements, or our practices. The revised Policy will be published with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the App after an update is subject to the revised Policy, except where applicable law requires another form of acceptance.
